Description & supplies

cup cakes and lots of them, 2 cake mixes - chocolate & yellow.

1-2 cans chocolate frosting & 2 butter cream with a smidge of chocolate added to tint to tan.

store bought tube black frosting for outlining, and pink for the tongue.

white foam paper for the bow, black for the eyes, nose and mouth features.

pink construction paper for bow

Approximate cost to build:

$20.00

Tip:  adding powdered sugar to canned frosting can thicken to help with being too thin or for using in decorating bags.

Tip: be sure to refrigerate or serve quickly, if the cake get warm the frosting will run and fall between the cupcakes, making holes.

Tip: any strong board can be used for cakes, to reuse, decorate with the theme of the cake in paper as above and then cover with a clear food wrap. above is the press & seal wrap, but it has press & seal written on it, you can use plastic wrap or find the decorative press & seal during the holidays. my niece was four, she can't read so this wrap worked for this project, she just wanted minnie.
